Smartphones have created new possibilities for people with vision impairment disabilities. While smartphones are commonly used to communicate with others, they also allow blind and visually impaired users to become more independent by providing accessibility tools that allow them to navigate their environment with less impediments. Although some apps include accessibility features available for visually impaired users, the majority of the interface is still designed for sighted users. The proposed idea is to develop an app for the visually impaired to help them navigate and virtually “see” the world around them. The app would aim have the following features: - Text recognition - Object recognition - Scene recognition - Color Recognition - Voice/Command Interface
