Project Description

BreazeHome is an academic project originated and lead by Dr. Masoud Sadjadi to help his students learn Agile Software Development in the context of a Web-based real-estate application that provides property information and services for home buyers, sellers, renters and realtors. BreazeHome is designed to be simple and to have an intuitive user interface in order to provide the best experience for its end users For this feature of BreazeHome, we implemented a Mortgage Calculator. This tool allows the users to accurately calculate their monthly mortgage payments with a number of varying factors such as loan amount, down payment, interest rate, and loan duration. We have implemented this tool in several ways. First, in each listing there is now an accurate mortgage calculation that the user can adjust. Second, there is a standalone calculator should the user some in with some data already. Third, there is a mortgage comparison tool to compare two mortgages side by side. Fourth, there is an interest only mortgage calculator. Lastly, there is the affordability calculator to let a user know how much they should budget each month for a mortgage.

Project Description

BreazeHome is a web-based real-estate search application led and managed by Dr. Masoud Sadjadi. The application was and continues to be, developed by students of the Computer Science department at Florida International University during their final semester. Students follow a strict Agile Scrum methodology and contribute to the project where they can. BreazeHome is currently on version 5.0, and so on the fifth semester of students working on developing the application. As a real-estate search application, BreazeHome has as its main functionality the ability to curate property listings and allow users to navigate through them. In its current state, this section of the application is significantly lacking. Search is slow and, at times, dysfunctional. When functional, a query will return results with significant lag, during which the page provides no indication to the user that the results are being retrieved. Entering an incorrect query does not provide appropriate feedback to the user, so no ability for the user to correct for that. In addition to this, the site contains reproducible user interface bugs, lacks ability for customization, and offers an inconvenient and unintuitive overall user experience.

Project Description

BreazeHome is an academic project originated and lead by Dr. Masoud Sadjadi to help his students learn Agile Software Development in the context of a Web-based real-estate application that provides property information and services for home buyers, sellers, renters and realtors. BreazeHome is designed to be simple and to have an intuitive user interface in order to provide the best experience for its end users. The purpose of the Chat System team is to create a web page that allows clients to find their agent. Tools such as toggle between grid and list views, sorting, filtering, and paginating will aid the process for the client's search. Once the client has find their agent, they can access the agent's profile, which they can then have a private one-to-one chat conversation with the agent. Chat features that have been implemented in this project are the private chat conversation, unread message notifications, chat conversation list, typing indicator, and user online status. These features will assist BreazeHome users to have a pleasant experience with the website.
